            Saved Countless Men in World War II!

            Do You Know How Doctor Drew Died?

            Bled Out!   Wasn’t Allowed Inside

            The Hospital That Could Provide

            Him with Plasma … Entrance Denied!

            Recall George Washington Carver?

            Miss Rosa Parks, Remember Her?

            Our Astronaut Mae Jemison’s

            On a Stamp in Azerbaijan!

            Crispus Attucks!   And Thousands More!

            One Month?  …  All Year!   I Do Implore!

            My Personality Comes Through!

            Sometimes When I Least Expect It,

            Out Pops Words My Mouth Ejected!

            That’s One Reason, in September,

            I Was Nervous!   You Remember?

            I Was Starting a Brand, New School!

            Did Not Want to Appear Un~Cool!

            When the Doors to ‘Doyle’ Did Open,

            Twas There I Stood, Prayin’ … Hopin’

            That This Time It Would Be My Choice,

            Which Words I’d Swallow … Which I’d Voice!

            Those Early Days Were Pressure Packed!

            Not Drama Nor Tension They Lacked!

            I Almost Made It Through Hour~One

            ‘Fore My Mouth Went on a Free~Run!

            My Blurted Words Were Kind ... Concerned!

            Since That Hour at ‘Doyle’ I Have Learned,

            If You Respect Kids and Teacher,

            Then Chill!   No One Here’s a Screecher!

        Those Lessons of My Youth Aren’t Blurred!

        All My Mom’s Teachings, This Girl Heard!

        They Start With Basic Courtesies!

        Say, “Thank You!” and Of Course Say, “Please!”

        If From All Groups Some Kid’s Left Out,

        Then Introduce Them All About!

        We All Get Shy Once In a While!

        At Times We All Need a Warm Smile!

        If We Could All Stop the Shouting …

        Angry Words … Immature Pouting …

        Drop For Once, Preconceived Notions!

        Get a Grip On Our Emotions!

        No One Asked, “Friends, Lend Me Your Tongues!”

        Yet Some Yell as Loud as Their Lungs

        Allow, to Block Some New Idea!

        It’s Civil Discourse They Most Fear!

        Aretha Was Right!   What the Heck

        Can We Lose By Giving RESPECT?

        And Remem’brin What All Moms Taught,

        “Show Up Polite!   Or You’ll Show … Not!”

    In Grampa’s Time, Before Urgence,

    Came the Harmonic Convergence!

    Now Super Bowl Merges, My Friend,

    Blends Its Time With Groundhog Weekend!

    Think Back on How the Movie Goes!

    It Won’t Take You Long, I Suppose,

    To Figure Out That Come Monday

    We Get To Relive Ev’ry Play!

    And As the Weeks and Months Fly By

    It’s Enough to Make a Fan Cry

    For Sheer Delight In This Vortex!
    A Glimpse of Heaven, I Suspects!

    This Wrinkle In Time Thrills Me So!

    The Food!   The Fun!   The "Go Pats, Go!"

    The Coach and Brady, They’ve Got Tricks

    Hence Unseen, As They Go For Six!
