 That Kind Before, Means Kind Again!

 This Loving Son Won’t Change, My Friend!

 A Young Man Who’s Been Brought Up Right!

 Of Course There Will Be Bumps Ahead!

 There’s Days I Wished I’d Stayed In Bed!

 When Fam’ly Means the World to You,

This Day is Reserved for the Men

And Women We Won’t See Again!

Those Who Gave Their Last Full Measure

Of Devotion … All They Treasure …

Lost Their Lives Fighting to Protect

Us All!  They Have Earned Our Respect!

I’ve Grown Up in That Large Shadow

Of Men and Women Who All Know

They Could Be the Next Called Upon

Who’s Sacrifices Go Beyond

The Crossroads of Life and of Love!

These are Who Preachers All Speak of,

“No Greater Love Hath Any Man

Or Woman …”  They Gave All They Can!

Stand for Our Anthem!  Doff Your Hat!

Respect!  Reflect!  Show the World That

You Know Why It’s a Sin to Say,

Her Skills and Talents Are All Meant

To Be Used In Some Testing Tent!

For Longer Than A Working Day,

She Braves the Dangers While We Pray

There’s Masks and Gloves and Gowns For Her

And All Who Work to Find a Cure!

Some Say Mom Doesn’t Have to Go

In Harm’s Way!  Those Folks Just Don’t Know

The Strong, Brave Heart That Defines Her!

She Has to Fight!  That’s Mom, For Sure!

In the Midst of All This We Say,

From Both Your Girls, “Happy Birthday!”

You’ve Lived to Standards Few Could Reach!
