       Start At Noon So We're Not Tardy!

       Sister Iz, That Little Rock Star,

       On New Year's Eve, She's Best By Far!

       Our Chinese Food, It Does Arrive

       About a Quarter After Five!

       Who Knows What "Moo Goo Gai Pan" Is?

       But Just the Sound Sets Sister Iz

              

       To Laughing Fits, So Contagious,

       She Gives Her Laugh to All of Us!

       It's Hard to Do the Simplest Thing

       Bent Over, Red-Faced, Knee Slapping!

       Iz Made Me Drop the Egg Drop Soup,

       Before My Mom Could Get a Scoop!

       But 'Fore It Ever Hit The Floor

       I "Moo Goo Gai" Iz Just Once More!

       Mom Catches Iz' Laugh!   No Tee Hee!

       Best Not Laugh and Eat Chop Suey!

       'Tween Belly Laughs, I Clearly See,

       Iz Laughing Means ... More Food For Me!

              But in My Dream No Plymouth Rock

              Kept Dry Each Pilgrim's Shoe and Sock!

              They Sailed Past Coronado Isle,

              To San Diego to Unpile!

              My Deep Sleep Flipped Thanksgiving Day!

              Dreampt Mom and Pat Sat on the Floor

              Stuffing Californ'a Condor

              With 'rugula, Avocados,

              Mandarin and Pistachios!

              Side Dishes Like Ahi Tuna,

              Sushi Tacos, Vino Cool'a!

                           
             I Woke Up Kind'a Herky-Jerky!

             My Nose Sniffed Out Old Style Turkey!

             I Climbed a Tree and Spied the Bay!

               Every Night When It Gets Late,

               Like Seven Thirty, Maybe Eight,

               I've Had My Bath!  Brushed Teeth and Hairs!

               So I Kneel Down to Say My Prayers!

                            

               I'm Just as Sure as I Can Be

               That the Angels and God Hear Me!

               For Everyone I Know, I Pray!

               'Spechly Those Who Go In Harm's Way!

               I Wouldn't Want to End My Day

               Without a Chance to Thank the Lord

               For Every Blessing That He's Poured

               Upon This DeMers Family!
