               The Meaning of Fourth of July?

               It’s Me, of Course!   I’ll Tell You Why!

               Our Mommy Taught Me Years Ago!

               Now I’ll Teach Iz All That I Know!

                              

 

               The Fourth’s America’s Birthday!

               We Celebrate a Hundred Ways!

               Across This Great Country of Ours,

               We Honor the Stripes and the Stars!

 

               In Every Corner of This Land

               Each Parade Has a Marching Band!

               We Wave the Flag and Toast With Pride

               All Those Who Fought and Those Who Died!

 

               And Fire Works Light Up the Night!

               Reminding Us that Some Still Fight

               In Iraq and Afghanistan

               So My Sweet Sister and Me Can

 

               Grow Up Safe and Grow Up Free!

               But Iz is Just One Year Old, See?

               So Lesson One Won’t Go Too Far

               I’ll Teach Her How to "OOOOWW!!!"                                  and “AAAAHH!!!”

              Hey, Hey, My Name is Audrey Mae!

              Thursday was a Mom and Me Day!

              We Headed to the Nail Salon

              And Let Them Slather Sparkles On!

                              

              The Cutest Nails They’d Ever Seen!

              They Treated Us Each Like a Queen!

              Leaving, We Picked Up the Pace ‘n

              Bought Nintendo and a Case In

              Case We Should Ever Shut It Down!

              Trust Me, That’s No Day I’m Around!

              Mom Planned Out Such a Special Day!

              We Swam, Dined Out and By the Way,

              Mom Had One Last Surprise for Me,

              Two Hula Hoops for Moi, You See!

              At First I Wasn’t Quite the Best!

              I Practiced Hard!   Gave It No Rest!

              Now Both Hoops Spin When I Gyrate

              Or Walk, or Run or Jump!   It’s Great!

              ‘Neath Red Curls, My Smile’s on Full Beam!

              And My Nails Glitter and They Gleam!

                                           

              While My Mom Plays My Nintendo

              I Roll My Hips and My Endo!

              I Go Hula Hoopie Loopie!

              Just Ask My Iz!   She’s My Groupie!

            Are Off to Visit with Mickey,

            And Pluto, Donald and Snow White!

            We’ll Ride the Rides, Then Grab a Bite!

            Where Every Princess is For Real!

            My Mother Says That She Can Feel!

                             

              This Really is a Magic Place!

            At Disney Land, We’re Like Old Hands!

            Still Sometimes When the Camera Clicked,

            I Do Believe Mom Must’a Tricked

            Us Girls into Sparkling Our Eyes

               I’ve Seen Big Changes in My Day!

               Than What I'm Right~Now Goin' Through!

               Back in the Day, or So It Feels,

               My Shadow Grew Out from My Heels!

               Even as Fast as I Could Run

               My Shadow Kept Up!   It was Fun!

               Shadows Do Have Limitations!

               They Sure are Quiet Creations!

               Each Time That I Tried to Converse,

               The Silence Went from Bad to Worse!

                Now Quick, Flash Forward to Today!

                It’s So Much Better, I Do Say!

                I’ve Got a Brand New Shadow Now

                Who Talks and Loves Me and Somehow

                                       

                She Goes Where I Go, Rain or Shine!

                My Shadow Thinks That I’m Divine!

                Do You Know Who My Shadow Is?

                She’s My Sweet Sister!   Yup, She’s Iz!
