The Dreaded Snip~O~Potamus
Enjoys Capturing Girls Like Us
When We're Zoned Out, Tired or Bored!
And Consequences Are Ignored!
Happened to Bella at Day Care!
She Idly Twirled Her Bright Red Hair!
Then Scissors Gently Called Her Name!
"Bella!" They Said! Is She to Blame?
Hey, Hey, My Name is Audrey Mae!
"Sweet Bella Cut Her Hair!" Some Say!
I Say 'Ole Snip' Got That Poor Kid!
And Made Her Do What E'er He Bid!
To Me, The Greatest Mystery
Is Why Adults No Longer See
That Snip~O~Potamus Lurking!
My Guess: They're Too Busy Working!
Since Half the Mothers in This World
When They Were Young, Snipped Off Some Curl!
Through Weepy Eyes Tried to Explain,
"It Wasn't Me Who Chopped My Mane!"
Of Course It Wasn't, Way Back Then!
Wasn't For Bella, Once Again!
But Like the Serpent Said to Eve,
"Kid, Who Ya Think That They'll Believe?"
